Tdap Immunization Clinic

The Richland County Health office will hold a "walk-in" clinic on March 5th from 8am-6pm for the Tdap "shot."  Students do not attend school on this day due to Casimir Pulaski Day.  Please have the consent form filled out and bring it with you.

Internet/Social Media Assemblies

On Friday, January 13th ERMS students had the privilege of listening to Brent Maguire of Techno Armor Consulting talk about internet and social media safety.  Mr. Maguire gave an assembly for each grade level as well as two workshops for teachers after school.  He is a former police officer with special training in the investigation of online crimes and his speciality is getting students to evaluate their online life and think twice about the information they are putting out there for the entire world to see.

We encourage all of our ERMS parents and guardians to talk with their children about things like Facebook and be aware of what they are doing online.   Remember that being an AITR (Adult in the Room) is not a bad thing.  In fact it's the only way to really know what your child is doing online. >> More

Required Tdap Immunizations

"Illinois Department of Public Health is now requiring Tdap shots for all children entering 6th-12th grades.  Please read the attached document for more information.  The front page is a letter with all the information regarding the who/what/when/where/how for the shots, the next two pages are information on the actual Tdap vaccine, and the last page is the form you will need to take with you to the Richland County Health Office when you go to get the shot.  Remember, all students will need this shot before entering school next year so please get this on your to do list." >> More

Parent iPad Training

Want to see how we use iPads in an everyday classroom at ERMS? Want to get your hands on your child's iPad and experience the 1:1 technology available for your child? Would you like to learn how to use the iPad you already have or are thinking of purchasing for your family?

Reserve a space now for one of our iPad training sessions. They will be held on Mondays from 5:15pm to 6:30pm, beginning January 23th, 2012. Sessions will be held at ERMS and are open to parents, guardians, and family members of any current ERMS student.

To reserve a space, call the school (618-395-4372) or send an email (sgeier [at] ercu1 [dot] net). We'll need your name, how many adults will be attending the session, and if you will require babysitting.

Hope to see you there! >> More
