Andy Thomann serves as principal of East Richland Middle School, taking the position in August 2005 after one year as assistant principal. 

Before coming to East Richland, Mr. Thomann taught four years of language arts and social studies at Fairfield Community High School, where he also coached football, basketball, and baseball.

After graduating from West Richland High School in Noble, Mr. Thomann attended Greenville College where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Education. He later attended Eastern Illinois University to work towards his Masters in Education Administration.		 Darrell Houchin became the Dean of Students at East Richland Middle School at the beginning of the 2011-2012 school year.

In addition to his administrative duties, Mr. Houchin teaches 8th Grade Science and coaches boys' basketball and track. He has taught for ten years and coached in various sports for nine years.

Mr. Houchin received his Bachelors in Biological Sciences from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and his Masters in Education Administration from Eastern Illinois University.
